Power of A Smile

This may not be your day. You want to huddle in a corner, hide from the world, and cry.

Being a victim of bullying is hard. Next to impossible. The sadness, fears, and frustrations set in. Your world is crashing down, and you don’t know what to do.

Have you looked into a mirror lately? You should. Look into that mirror and ask yourself, “Am I really what that bully says about me? How would that bully know about me more than I know about myself? Is it really true?” Ask yourself again, “Is it really true what that bully is saying about me?”

When you come to finally realize (however long that may take, and I hope it doesn’t take that long), that what that bully is saying IS NOT TRUE, that’s when you start to believe in yourself once again. It may take awhile to gain your self-confidence back, but HAVE FAITH in yourself. HAVE PRIDE in yourself. How does that make you feel now?

Now look into the mirror again, wipe away your tears, and try to smile at yourself. Look at yourself as you crack that smile. When was the last time you saw yourself smile? Feel any different? Now just keep on smiling. Keep your head up and believe in yourself. And say to yourself, “This day is my day, and I WILL get through it.”
