The Mission Statement:

The mission statement of Your Life Matters Empowerment Alliance, Inc. is to convey the sense of being valued for those who have felt marginalized as a result of violent or aggressive behavior. Our aim is to eradicate bullying in all forms and in all places, particularly schools, the workplace, and the Internet.

We want to reach those who tend to be targets of violence to engage them in training designed to build self-esteem, teach conflict resolution skills, connect them with resources, and to encourage participation in martial arts.

Our goal is to educate others about the pervasiveness of bullying and how it contributes to rates of depression, suicide, feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, and hostility in the workplace.

We are passionate about teaching peace. We are advocates for justice. We trust in the decency and authenticity of the human spirit. We ask you to join us in our mission.

The Advancement Foundation Awards Your Life Matters Empowerment Alliance Participant in The Gauntlet Program (2018)

The Gauntlet is an entrepreneurial, business based competition program, which awards local businesses who attend a 10-week program and graduate from it. The Gauntlet competition program is part of The Advancement Foundation, a non-profit organization located in Vinton, Virginia, and has been held every year at The Vinton War Memorial since 2014.
